      slapi-nis package provides two 389-ds plugins:

      • Schema Compatibility plugin (schemacompat-plugin.so)
      • NIS Server plugin (nisserver-plugin.so)

      NIS Server plugin exposes LDAP data via NIS protocol. RHEL 8.3+ deprecated NIS protocol support and RHEL 9 has removed remaining packaging of the NIS client side. RHEL 10 removes support for NIS server as well.

      Update slapi-nis package to disable building NIS Server plugin.
