What were you trying to do that didn't work?
Customer wants to see workspace name when they hover mouse pointer over the workspace box in the window list, either in GNOME classic or standard with window list enabled. It used to work in RHEL 8.6, but it stopped working in 8.9.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
gnome-shell-extension-window-list-3.32.1-35.el8.noarch

Steps to reproduce
- Enable the Window List extension, if not already enabled
- Set the workspace names in a gnome-shell prompt
$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences workspace-names "['Test1', 'Test2', 'Test3', 'Test4']" - Hover the mouse over the workspace box, in the window list
Expected results
Workspace names should be shown as configured
Actual results
- According o customer, in RHEL8.6 and RHEL8.8 it works in Gnome std and classic on X11 and does not with both std or classic on Wayland.
- On RHEL9.3 it works in classic and standard, with both x11 (Xorg) and Wayland.
- On RHEL8.9, the workspace name does not appear when the user hovers the mouse over the workspace box, which has different appearances in classic and standard sessions.
- On RHEL8.10 beta it also doesn't work std nor classic, wayland nor x11.
