Goal

• Gaps in test coverage were identified for connect() (missing FORTIFY handling of missing mode for O_CREAT and O_TMPFILE case) (LTP tests use the kernel syscall directly rather than the glibc wrapper.) Create testcases to cover the identified gaps for connect(). Ensure these are added as the standard test suite for RHIVOS. Execute these on the final RHIVOS platform configuration and ensure they pass.

Acceptance criteria

• Test Criteria should be clear and properly covering the safety concern, include a review from either the FuSa Safety Expert (Column H) or Technical Interviewer (Column I) before test implementation begins
• For new tests, coordinate with RHIVOS QE counterpart to ensure the tests are supported in an automotive environment (OSTree/tmt support and runs successfully on Automotive Reference Board)
• Results should include a clear PASS/FAIL status for each test (including unit tests), e.g.
  • RESULT(PASS or FAIL): test_name
• Test should be contributed directly to the upstream testsuite and patched downstream until the patch is accepted, follow the standard process
