Description of problem:

With the transition to RHEL8.6 and podman-4, the ability to keep (macvlan) interface name inside the container same as the parent interface name on the host is needed for certain functionalities to track reliably such as setting up routing table, tracking network throughput per interface per container.

In the absence of reliable interface name inside the container, the ability to manage those aspects is lost.
