This issue is to continue the work in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2210024. The patch https://lore.kernel.org/linux-scsi/20230822181413.1210647-1-jmeneghi@redhat.com/ was added to RHEL9, but it leaves the system in a state where it impossible to query the drive status immediately after the drive is powered on (MTIOCGET fails with EIO). Need fix for this query issue.
