      libvirt-10.0.0 includes code that should permit explicit specification of the VFIO/VFIO-variant driver to use for a device assigned with <hostdev>, using <driver model='blah'/>. Unfortunately this was broken in the final version of the patchset containing this new feature, so the driver model is ignored. For a description of the effects, see the comments of this RFE:
