Deadlock in _XReply when recursing through _XSeqSyncFunction [rhel-7.9.z]

What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Customer reports that Cadence Allegro hangs when they have graphics-resource intensive operation in their application. They have traced the issue to this upstream bug, and they report that a patch they applied to libX11 based on this upstream patch fixed the issue.
