What were you trying to do that didn't work?
I do mostly phone calls trough the Bluetooth with a USB headset on Red Hat. When the signal is lost (by moving with my smartphone). I cannot connect back again from gnome-control-center without restart the Bluetooth adapter.
I use an USB Bluetooth adapter and he as never unplug.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
$ rpm -qa | grep -i gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center-filesystem-3.28.2-33.el8_6.1.noarch
gnome-control-center-3.28.2-33.el8_6.1.x86_64
$ rpm -qa | grep -i bluetooth
gnome-bluetooth-libs-3.34.3-1.el8.x86_64
gnome-bluetooth-3.34.3-1.el8.x86_64
NetworkManager-bluetooth-1.36.0-4.el8.x86_64
pulseaudio-module-bluetooth-14.0-2.el8.x86_64
$ rpm -qa | grep -i bluez
bluez-5.56-3.el8.x86_64
bluez-libs-devel-5.56-3.el8.x86_64
bluez-libs-5.56-3.el8.x86_64
bluez-obexd-5.56-3.el8.x86_64
How reproducible:
Steps to reproduce
- Connect on a paired Bluetooth smartphone with headset feature
- Move the smartphone far away to lost the signal
- Move the smartphone to restore the signal
- Try to connect from Connection On/Off trough the Bluetooth device list in gnome-control-center
The work around is to turn off -> on the Bluetooth adapter and do the step 5.
Expected results
Long connection try with failed at the end
Actual results
Restore the connection with the Bluetooth smartphone
