What were you trying to do that didn't work?
TL;DR: Deliver https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SUPDEV-63 in RHEL7. As we move from credentials to device authorization in customer portal and SFT server, sos needs to use the same device auth when uploading sosreport (or sos collect since sos-4).
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
sos-4.6.0 or older
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to reproduce
- sosreport --upload
- sosreport --upload --upload-user
Expected results
- will require device authorization via browser, either for customer portal or SFTP server (until anonymous user is used)
- will ignore user or password
Actual results
- old-fashioned user:password authentication is used, no authorization via browser.
- credentials are honoured
