What were you trying to do that didn't work?

If /var/log/sa directory is missing from the system and you restart sysstat service it created /var/log/sa as a data file

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      sysstat-11.7.3-11.el8.x86_64

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Install sysstat-11.7.3-11.el8.x86_64
      2. Remove /var/log/sa (# rm -rf /var/log/sa)
      3. Restart the service  (# systemctl restart sysstat)
      4. # file /var/log/sa
        /var/log/sa: data

      Expected results

/var/log/sa should be a directory instead of data

      Actual results

      1. file /var/log/sa
        /var/log/sa: data

      Workaround

Remove the /var/log/sa and reinstall the sysstat package.
