gnome-settings-daemon crashes if it can't get screensaver status

      This isn't a GDM issue as far as I can tell. It seems gnome-settings-daemon is crashing when it's failing to get access to the screensaver status. It's probably a "crash on logout" or some such, since that would be the main reason screensaver status would be available I think.  We could probably fix that crash pretty easily but I suspect the unexpected logout is the "real" issue.

      Logging in to the GUI via XDMCP results in the GUI crashing or failing to authenticate

      By multiple customers

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Upgrade to latest sssd
      2. reboot
      3. attempt to log in via XDMCP as an LDAP/Kerberos user

      Expected results

      user can log in to GUI successfully
