What were you trying to do that didn't work?
This is a continuation of https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-17395.
After hacking /usr/share/rear/restore/NBU/default/300_create_nbu_restore_fs_list.sh to stop excluding files, for which NetBackup complains, the restore happens fine, but in the end the restore is still a failure.
The /var/tmp/rear.6nNipepKujJDBs9/tmp/bplog.restore log file reports the following:
16:23:51 (7417541.001) INF - TAR EXITING WITH STATUS = 0 16:23:51 (7417541.001) INF - TAR RESTORED 124423 OF 124424 FILES SUCCESSFULLY 16:23:51 (7417541.001) INF - TAR KEPT 0 EXISTING FILES 16:23:51 (7417541.001) INF - TAR PARTIALLY RESTORED 0 FILES 16:23:52 (7417541.001) Status of restore from copy 1 of image created Thu Nov 23 15:47:20 2023 = the restore failed to recover the requested files 16:23:52 (7417541.xxx) INF - Status = Standard policy restore error.
But nowhere I could spot the effective error.
It's very possible there is a bug in NetBackup itself, but we cannot know, hence filed this Jira to track the issue on ReaR side.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
rear-2.6-19.el9.x86_64
How reproducible:
Always on customer system, cannot test myself since no access to NetBackup
