What were you trying to do that didn't work?
Attempted to unlock the screen after the screensaver engaged, but instead of returning to normal functionality, the system got stuck in the Activities Overview.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
xdg-utils-1.1.2-5.el8
How reproducible:
Always reproducible
Steps to reproduce:
- Start "gnome-tweaks" -> Click "Extensions" -> Scroll down and Click "Window List" to enable it
- Enter the command in the terminal : "sleep 5; xdg-screensaver lock"
- Press (and release) the WINDOWS Key (so the Activities Overview appears) within 5 seconds
- Wait until Screensaver/Lockscreen engages
- In the Lockscreen enter your password to unlock
Expected results:
User should be able to seamlessly return to the desktop without getting stuck in the Activities Overview, after unlocking the screensaver.
Actual results:
System gets stuck at Activities Overview after unlocking the screensaver.
