      We have requests for a more flexible port forwarding model, with a runtime interface, which might possibly extend into support for multiple containers/VMs in a single passt instance.

      These come from a number of usages, such as Podman's user-defined rootless CNI networks (https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/8193), or rootlesskit's non-implicit port forwarding interface (https://github.com/rootless-containers/rootlesskit/pull/358#issuecomment-1488583384), as well as new use cases proposed by Podman users (https://pad.passt.top/p/NewUseCases).
