We are currently shipping xdg-desktop-portal-1.12.4 in RHEL 9, and 1.12.6 is a small bug-fix release in the same stable series. It fixes three bugs in the RealtimeKit portal:

This portal is used by PipeWire and WebKit, so it's a low-hanging fruit to avoid some future breakage.

xdg-desktop-portal-1.12.6 was already in Fedoras 35 and 36, which should give us ample testing.
