What were you trying to do that didn't work?
The installer doesn't correctly update the list of disks for the installation if the user changes the selected drives.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
RHEL-8.9
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to reproduce
- Start a graphical installation on a system (VM) with 2 empty disks
- Proceed to the Installation destination spoke
- Select one disk (vda) and go to the custom partitioning screen
- Do not create any partitions and return back by pressing the Done button and accepting the changes
- Go to the Installation destination again, select only the other disk (vdb) and go to the custom partitioning screen
- Notice that anaconda reports "0 storage devices selected" and "0 B" of total space.
- Use the "Click here to create them automatically." button
Expected results
- Partitions are created just on the selected disk (vdb)
Actual results
- Partitions are created just on the unselected disk (vda)
- It's not possible to change the device for the partitions (/boot) by clicking the "Modify..." button - there is no device listed.
Additional info
I was not able to reproduce the problem on RHEL-9 (tested 9.0 and 9.3)
