      What were you trying to do that didn't work?

       

      lvmdevices --check and --update have new dedicated output format (rather than just relying on whatever output the internal lvm functions happen to print.)  It prints entries that have changes.

       

      The new option --refresh has also been added to enable check|update to search all devices for a missing PV, with any device ID type.  It will replace the device ID type and name if the PV is found on a new device.  This applies to PVs with any type.  (This is the same feature that was added for refreshing device IDs when the system changes, but just enabled via the --refresh option rather than being triggered by a changed in the system identifier.)
