      This is a clone of issue RHEL-139419 to use for version rhel-9.8

      Original description:
      Please include following patch in RHEL update releases. We see significant performance improvement in high cache contention workload.

      This patch is already backported all the way till 2.28.

          nptl: Optimize trylock for high cache contention workloads (BZ #33704)
          
          Check lock availability before acquisition to reduce cache line
          bouncing.  Significantly improves trylock throughput on multi-core
          systems under heavy contention.
          
          Tested on x86_64.
          
          Fixes BZ #33704.
