What were you trying to do that didn't work?

In RHEL 9.4, You can only start a screencast/screen recording with Shift-Ctrl-Alt-R. You cannot stop it using the same combination nor can you stop it via the GUI interface.

What is the impact of this issue to you?

GUI must be restarted to stop screencastings in RHEL 9.4

Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:

      gnome-shell-40.10-22.el9_4.x86_64

      How reproducible is this bug?:

I can reproduce it considerably in RHEL 9.4

The issue is resolved in RHEL 9.5 and newer.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Login
      2.  Start screencast with Shift-Ctrl-Alt-R
      3. Attempt to stop recording with same shortcut
      4. Attempt to stop recording via GUI interface for screencasting.

      Expected results

      Screencast stops

      Actual results

      Screencast continues regardless of input.

      Additional:

This behavior is resolved in 9.5 and newer. Customer is only able to use 9.4 at this time. They are looking to see if this fix can be backported from 9.5 to 9.4.
