The perl-DBD-MySQL package in RHEL 9 (version 4.053) enables MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT, which is deprecated in current MariaDB client libraries shipped with RHEL 9 and emits warnings at runtime.
DBD::mysql 5.x cannot be used as a replacement because it requires MySQL 8 client APIs that are not available with MariaDB Connector/C in RHEL 9.
Request: please backport the upstream change to disable MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT in perl-DBD-MySQL 4.053 to avoid runtime warnings and future incompatibility, without changing ABI or client dependencies.
