According to the [GitHub PR #1|https://github.com/device-mapper-utils/thin-provisioning-tools/pull/1,] the community user from Microsoft has an issue in cross-compiling the newest thinp-tools in an build environment without Clang, which stops them from using the newest version of thinp-tools in the Flatcar container. We would like to evaluate the approaches to address this issue, either building a minimal DM wrapper, or use pre-generated bindings in devicemapper-rs.
