Based on the lessons learned from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2022729 and suggestions from https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms/meson/-/merge_requests/12#note_2872588060 we (me and rhn-engineering-pbonzini) will rebase meson to 1.7.x in RHEL 10.3 (its development will start in February 2026 and will be release in November 2026).

During December I will use the https://gitlab.com/fedora/packager-tools/mass-prebuild to rebuild all the 232 packages that are using meson in RHEL 10 so we know how much work will be needed to make all the packages successfully compile with the rebased meson.
