      When generating an initrd auxiliary image file using the tuned cpu-partitioning plugin, the permissions of the top-level directory do not match the permissions defined by initramfs.

      What is the impact of this issue to you?

      This inconsistency can cause problems during startup.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Fresh install RHEL9
      2. Install the latest version of tuned and tuned-profiles-cpu-partitioning
      3. Switch profile to cpu-partitioning

      Expected results

      The top-level directory permissions inside tuned-initrd.img should be 0755.

      Actual results

      The top-level directory permissions inside tuned-initrd.img is 0700.
