What were you trying to do that didn't work?
A RH Partner is trying to build and develop against gdm in RHEL8, but libdmx-devel is not in any official repository even though it was in RHEL7.
In addition, plymouth-devel is required to build gdm. Along similar lines, gnome-autoar-devel is required when building nautilus, and rest-devel is required for building gtk3. While technically not part of gdm, any similar customer trying to develop against desktop applications is likely to need all of these packages. Should this be split into additional RFEs?
What is the impact of this issue to you?
The customer compiles libdmx-devel from source and has to provide it on machines where they are developing against gdm and xorg-x11-server. It is the same case for plymouth-devel, gnome-autoar-devel, and rest-devel.
