Original description:
As a Cluster Administrator I want to be able to override validation errors when updating cluster properties in the web UI so that I can make critical or exceptional system changes when standard validation prevents a necessary action.
What were you trying to do that didn't work?
I want to override error messages when setting cluster properties in pcs web UI
What is the impact of this issue to you?
I'm unable to configure the cluster in the way I want. I am aware that the configuration is suboptimal, but I'm making just a temporary change which is a part of a larger procedure, and I'm unable to proceed further as I'm blocked on this step.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
pcs-0.12.0, web-ui-0.1.22
How reproducible is this bug?:
always, easily
Steps to reproduce
- navigate to cluster properties page
- click Edit Attributes
- put "foobar" into an integer property and submit the form
- error message is displayed: Error: 'foobar' is not a valid batch-limit value, use an integer or INFINITY or -INFINITY...
- there's no way to override the error
Expected results
there is a way to override the error
Actual results
there is no way to override the error
the only way to override the error is to use pcs CLI, which provide an option to do so
