What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Installation of RHEL-9.7.0-20250826.5 on ppc64le in graphical and VNC mode results in a black screen and the Installer GUI is not displayed. Apparently the GUI is present (when using the keyboard blindly, it can be seen in the Anaconda logs that there's interaction with the UI, also the mouse cursor changes at places where e. g. buttons are present).

This functionality worked properly on earlier RHEL-9.7 composes (the latest available one that worked for me was RHEL-9.7.0-20250722.1 / anaconda-34.25.7.5-1.el9.ppc64le).

What is the impact of this issue to you?

It's not possible to install RHEL-9.7.0-20250826.5 on ppc64le in graphical or VNC mode.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start graphical or VNC installation of RHEL-9.7.0-20250826.5 on a ppc64le machine.
2. If using VNC, connect to the running installation with a VNC client.

Expected results

The graphical UI shows up, it's possible to interact with it.

Actual results

Just a black screen with cursor is displayed.
