      What were you trying to do that didn't work?

      When we try to build openssl-fips-provider from a non-root user then the build fails. 

      The problem is in extract-src.sh when we try to extract the tar files. It will keep the files owners, and then git init will fail. This is not a problem for a root user. tar needs the `--no-same-owner` flag.
