How reproducible is this bug?:

• 100% by customer (support does not have identical hardware)
• Intel Corporation Raptor Lake-S GT1 [UHD Graphics 770]
• Dell Precision 3680 (https://catalog.redhat.com/en/hardware/system/detail/251877#certifications)
• customer confirmed downgrading package to mesa-libEGL-24.1.2-3.el9 immediately works around the issue
• customer also stated that setting

  env GDK_BACKEND=x11 gnome-terminal
  

  works around the issue, but only for gnome-terminal. Other applications still make the GUI freeze or crash. Sometimes just logging in to the GUI is enough to make it crash.

Steps to reproduce

1. Update to the mesa-libEGL-24.2.8-2.el9_6 package 9 (full update to 9.6)
2. observe that graphical environment becomes unstable (crash on login, freezes when running applications, etc)

• Normal function

• Freezes and crashes
• Unable to use machine normally
