What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Installed a CentOS 10 system with freeradius-3.2.5-5.el10.x86_64. Configured based on a much older Ubuntu system that had been running freeradius v2. Everything works, however when our external account management system sends a CoA packet freeradius begins an infinite loop trying to send the reply packet. A typical log message (repeated 100's of times) is:

Sat Aug  2 18:34:40 2025 : Error: (379715) Ignoring duplicate packet from client {...} port 5057 - ID: 78 due to unfinished request in component <core> module <queue>

What is the impact of this issue to you?

Hangs part of freeradius, quickly fills log files, does not provide CoA notification back to external vendor.

Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:

      How reproducible is this bug?:

Happens every time our vendor sends a CoA, where this did not happen with out old system.

Searching online, this appears to be very similar to this Ubuntu bug with freeradius-3.2.5: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeradius/+bug/2087740

However, attempting to apply the referenced patch to the source RPM does not change the issue.

I am currently attempting to build freeradius 3.2.7 manually which is supposed to resolve the bug.
