While testing the PCP, Redis and Grafana solution in RHEL-AI recently somalley@redhat.com and rh-ee-lchilton found that the redis-server does not start. This is a combination of missing sysusers and tmpfiles.d files in the RHEL-9.6 Redis package. Could we get these added please rcollet@redhat.com and/or rhn-engineering-jorton?
I've opened a Fedora Valkey PR for the tmpfiles.d configuration, and it looks like we already have the sysusers file there. We need both in RHEL (except the redis-named variant in el9 of course) to get the ImageMode RHEL-AI builds working correctly. For RHEL-10 it should be possible to use these files directly from Fedora. I see there was an upstream valkey-8.1 release today, so there'll probably be a rebase in Fedora soon.
