      Feature description

Include the latest mpt3sas driver patches from the upstream kernel into the RHEL 9.8 OS, so that the RHEL 9.8 inbox driver has the latest features and fixes by default.

      Business justification

      Why is this feature needed?

This feature is required to keep in sync with the upstream version of the driver.

What hardware or software does this enable?

This enables the PCIe4 HBA devices (named Sea).

If hardware, is it on-board in a system (eg, LOM) or an add-on card?

It supports both on-board and add-on HBA devices

      What is the business impact?

This feature and bug are required to support the PCIe 4 HBA devices.

What market problems / audience does it address?

We want the mpt3sas driver in RHEL to support the latest hardware from our company, be as close to parity with the upstream driver, and provide the stability customers expect from our partnership.

      QE test plan

Red Hat has Sea HBA device in their lab, and they can be tested using the standard HBA test cases.
