What were you trying to do that didn't work?
When a user logout, the screen goes black and a blinking bar in the top left is displayed. The display is unresponsive. This occurs only when 2+ people are logged in. The current workaround has been to press Alt + super + F3, then Alt + super + F2. Doing so will return the login prompt. When only 1 user is logged in, it returns to the login screen without issue.
What is the impact of this issue to you?
Users will be unable to log in. Users may opt to power cycle the system and it takes time and may result in data loss.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
gdm-40.1-28.el9_6.x86_64 Thu Jun 5 18:32:24 2025
cat etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.6 (Plow)
