People have been requesting that the image refs be using a tag+digest specifier (e.g., :1.3.3@sha256:5173269a9ba82b51d892feb8eaba934340b5defe2f52a20bcacfcca7a81ae6e2). This would allow for easy human interpretation of the identifier (via the tag) as well as maintain machine-enforced guarantees about exactly which image is to be used (via the digest).

Marking this as depending on RHIDP-5431 which aims at using semver-tagged images.
