Customizing the Learning Path, Tech Radar, and Home Page in Red Hat Developer Hub involves either using hosted JSON files or setting up a dedicated service to provide data. This approach, while functional, is not intuitive or practical for users who prefer a more streamlined, cloud-native method of configuration. To enhance usability and align with cloud-native best practices, we propose adding the ability to configure these elements directly through a ConfigMap that overwrites the default data.json file in the container.

Without this feature, the business impact includes increased complexity and operational overhead in managing Red Hat Developer Hub. Administrators will need to rely on less intuitive methods like hosting external JSON files or deploying dedicated services, which can lead to inefficiencies, higher maintenance costs, and potential misconfigurations.
