A couple of folks in the slack channel have raised similar concerns. The documentation for the plugin is not clear about the features it provides. Keycloak has traditionally been associated with SSO and auth, whereas the plugin in 1.0 only sync users and groups.

I believe there is seprate enhancement request for supporting keycloak natively for auth i RHDH - but I would make this a high priority item that is important to our customers who use keycloak for SSO/Authx/authn
