RHDH Install 3268, RHDH Install 3269
The current developer hub air-gapped installation documentation here:
uses Podman to pull several container images and then push them to the openshift cluster internal registry. There are several things that need to be updated:
- Podman push/pull from the same host is not how most air-gapped systems function. Most require that an archive be created on host A while connected to the internet, moved into the air-gapped environment on host B, and then pushed into a registry.
- RHDH is installed with a helm chart. The Red Hat supported method for mirroring helm charts for air-gapped installations is to use oc-mirror which handles the first point.
- The air-gapped documentation does not describe how to obtain the helm chart needed to install RHDH offline. The documentation simply points to another doc that describes a general helm chart based RHDH installation using the OpenShift console.
