You can also find documentation at the following places:
for admin https://www.eclipse.org/che/docs/che-6/stacks.html
for user https://www.eclipse.org/che/docs/che-6/creating-starting-workspaces.html -> "Create Custom stack from a custom recipe" - Stevan:
The idea is to rework the upstream documentation - that would fit for CodeReady Workspaces too.
Also don't forget this document that Mario Loriedo started: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1hDHq-gv8BAAlPmbFO5UM3nwBN9vdaxe_hPRAV4KH70Q/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=107083495103952150314 - TOC that I prepared: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YymBsCsiR-VDkgsycZ4A7bYjKsxl-YxH9gXiaRlR_nM/edit#.
- Stevan: I think first it is important to tackle the upstream issue: https://github.com/eclipse/che-docs/issues/632

I have reviewed the document. That's a great start. I'm not sure it is enough.
Give a look at the deck from mario: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1hDHq-gv8BAAlPmbFO5UM3nwBN9vdaxe_hPRAV4KH70Q/edit#slide=id.g4a9ec0ac85_0_2
I feel it provides more guidance.
We need to explain how one will create volumes, tweek the memory, handle the servers...
We also need to explain how to build a multi-container based application.
The typical use case from customer:
Bob is using a particular version of EAP with a postgresql database
Bob wants to provide stack where he can work on two applications one in python and one nodejs.
The documentation needs to help enough on those use case (which are real ones btw ! )
I think have "how-to" or "tutorial" base documentation would be super efficient - Existing documentation at: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_codeready_workspaces_for_openshift/1.0.0/html/administration_guide/administering_workspaces#assembly_creating-stacks-in-codeready-workspaces
