The existing overview page https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.15/cicd/index.html provides some brief descriptions but the following issues exist and we need to resolve them:

      • There is no clear comparison. While a comparison table would not be consistent with other parts of the OpenShift docs,we would want similar-format bullet lists that can be compared
      • There is no clarification of use cases where each of the products is best.
        • Currently the user cannot work out the difference in use cases between Pipelines and Builds at all as Pipelines are just explained as "CI/CD steps" which people can guess are about building the image - but both Builds versions also build the imageĀ
        • There is no clarity between the two Builds systems either
        • It can be worked out that GitOps/ArgoCD is for deploying the images while th others are for building them, but even this takes some deciphering
        • There is also Jenkins which probably deserves some sort of clarification too
        • "CI/CD" is used throughout, while in general GitOps is more CD and others are more CI?
      • For Pipelines there is no mention of Tekton as upstream
