Documentation guides are inconsistent concerning OpenVSX registry

XMLWordPrintable

      Description of problem:

The 3.6 release notes doc says

2.4. Embedded OpenVSX registry by default With this update, the default registry for extensions for Microsoft Visual Studio Code - Open Source is the embedded OpenVSX registry, which is included in the devfile registry container. Before this update, the default was the public registry at https://open-vsx.org.

      But the Admin guide says

The latest extension version on open-vsx.org is the default. Alternatively, you can add "version": "<extension_version>" on a new line to specify a version.

The release notes guide is correct!

Prerequisites (if any, like setup, operators/versions):

      Steps to Reproduce

       # <steps>

      Actual results:

The default plugin registry is the embedded one.

      Expected results:

The documentation guides should be consistent.
