Currently, the docs contains many instances of the configuration files for these APIs, but doesn't provide an all-encompassing API reference topic for either API. 

Having these API topics will enable us to remove a lot of redundant content from the examples/instances, such as re-explaining common fields, so those examples can focus on the specific user story. This will improve usability by reducing extraneous information from each topic. It will also reduce the effort required to maintain changes across the 10 - 20 topics that contain this type of duplicate information.
