CRW 1.1 and earlier were published on the registry.access.redhat.com container registry.
CRW 1.2 will only be on the new registry.redhat.io registry, which requires authentication to pull images [1]. I believe it may still be LISTED on the old registry site [2], but won't be accessible to be pulled from that registry [3].

We should make sure we have a blurb about this somewhere in the CRW 1.2 admin guide, so people are aware that:

a) there's a new registry in town - registry.redhat.io
b) to use it, you need to first log into the registry [1]
c) for older images, the old registry will still work (as old RHEL7-based images were pushed to both), but
d) going forward, rhel8-based images will only be on the authenticated registry
e) ubi-namespaces images will continue to be published to both (this is the only exception for new images – see [4] below)
