Note: This issue should only appear in classic Outlook for Windows. Edit this text if this is not the case.
Some images in Outlook overrides for email templates are missing alt text. This causes the email body to be rendered poorly if images fail to download.
Sample sections:
- Common/insightsEmailBodyV2.html (instant)
- Common/insightsEmailBodyLightV2.html (daily digest)
- Errata/beta/dailyEmailBody.html
Although Web Accessibility guidelines say that decorative images like these should have an empty alt text, Outlook's unusual behaviour may require an adjustment. If confirmed, add alt text for all image assets in instant email and daily digest email bodies within Outlook sections ([if mso]). For example, the left circle image used in Outlook emails may appear as follows:
<img src="https://console.redhat.com/apps/frontend-assets/email-assets/circle_64_left.png" alt="(" <!-- trimmed --> >
