Review the CRCPLAN parent feature for additional context, including the feature overview, goals, user stories and use cases, acceptance criteria, designs, dependencies, risks, assumptions, pending questions and documentation callouts.
Summary and goal
Enhance the User Access screens within console.redhat.com (/iam/user-access) to include a new Workspace section. This will include a new workspace list view, the ability to create workspaces, edit workspace details (name, description), and see the "Default" workspace as the parent for new workspaces, improving usability and organization for Admins and users.
See:
RHCLOUD-30174- the parent feature
This epic is purely for stories / tasks necessary to make the workspace list and create flows releasable without including additional scope of workspace access management or hierarchy. This may require UI and/or backend limitations explicitly added in order to descope functionality so that we don't expose functionality which is not yet completely supported for whatever reason (such as incompatibility with other services or simply not yet developed).
Limitations
- NO hierarchy (single level below default)
- NO Workspace Details page (link to existing Insights Workspace view)
- NO peer Workspaces to Default
- Limited total Workspaces per org (max TBD - see this thread)
Technical Details
Questions
Can users delete existing workspaces (like they can with Insights today) and have all associated hosts return to 'ungrouped' or are we applying the business logic in this phase that only empty workspaces can be deleted?
