Review the CRCPLAN parent feature for additional context, including the feature overview, goals, user stories and use cases, acceptance criteria, designs, dependencies, risks, assumptions, pending questions and documentation callouts.
Summary and goal
This epic encompasses the scoping effort required for integrating Red Hat Insights services with the Management Fabric and Kessel. This requires the Kessel team to document the requirements, technical details and dependencies to ensure the Insights service teams have the required reference materials to accept the scope and commit to the integration timeline of 2024 Q2.
Goals and Objectives
- Define the scope of work for migrating Insights authorization to the Kessel platform.
- Identify and document the data migration requirements, API integrations, and UI updates needed for the integration.
- Outline the potential risks/dependencies.
Acceptance Criteria
- A detailed scope document outlining the phases of integration, dependencies, and success criteria has been created, shared with Insights and accepted.
- All necessary integration requirements are documented/outlined for the Insights teams to review.
- API integration points between Insights and Kessel are documented.
- Required UI updates to the Insights services pages are identified and outlined.
- Dependencies are identified and documented.
- A clear timeline for the integration work is established.
- Approval and sign-off from all relevant Insights stakeholders has been obtained.

Open Questions
- UI/UX Changes
- What specific changes will be needed from the Insights services? Inventory views are (assumed) to be coming from the HBI updates, but services with other visual components like graphs or other tables may need to make adjustments for the inclusion of Workspaces based on the global workspace selector v. current Inventory Groups (Now workspaces) filters.
- Feature Flag Details
- Need to work with PlatEx and Insights teams to determine how we'll use feature flags for RBAC v2 experiences (and allowing non-migrated customers to remain in the v1 experience).
