PlatEx UI Sprint 17
User Story
After creating Inventory Groups and roles to restrict access to a subset of systems as described in https://access.redhat.com/documentation/es-es/red_hat_insights/2023/html/viewing_and_managing_system_inventory/deploying-insights-with-rhca#scenario_1_two_different_it_teams_must_manage_their_systems_with_insights
The roles detail page (Identity & Access Management > User Access > Roles > select a role) shows a table with the following columns:
- Application
- Resource type
- Operation
- Resource definitions
- Last commit
The column Resource definitions contains a number which link to a page displaying the specific permission's "Defined resources".
The list shown contains nothing more than a UUID of a group. See screenshot: inventory-groups-defined-resource-uuid.png
This UUID is not relevant for users as they cannot check the UUID in the UI.
This makes reviewing a role and the groups it applies to cumbersome.
Description
The UX of this part of the inventory groups needs to be reviewed.
My suggestion would be to change the 'Resource Definition' column to the same 'Groups' column shown on the main Roles screen. This has a similar number indicating the number of groups. However when clicked this expands several additional rows showing the names of the groups it applies to. See attached screenshot inventory-groups-roles-groups.png
Having that detail per permission would be useful in my opinion.
Acceptance Criteria
- Being able to review a role to see the groups it's permissions apply to
