Business Central and Dashbuilder must be configured to use the same datasource but installer now allows users to configure them separately. There are basically two problems with this approach:

      1. Dashbuilder will not see processes and tasks started on Business Central if they use different datasources.
      2. Dashbuilder is not able to create database tables it needs by itself. If Business Central is configured to use the same datasource, everything is ok. If Business Central is configured to use different datasource, it still works because the tables are created by KIE Server. However, after BPMSPL-527 was implemented and RHBPMS-4508 was fixed, it is possible to configure Business Central and KIE Server to use the same datasource different from the default one and in this case Dashbuilder will fail to find necessary tables in the default database. See the attached server log for more details.

I think the most appropriate fix for this is to join Install Business Central Datasource and Install Dashbuilder Datasource to a single option Install Business Central and Dashbuilder Datasource on Configure runtime environment page so it will not be possible to configure them separately.
