Customers and community often would like to leverage the last versions of supported databases, especially in cases where there are new long term supported versions.

In RHBK 26.0 we are behind on a number of databases, without support for the recent LTS versions.

Value Proposition

Allow customers and community to leverage the latest LTS versions of supported databases.

Goals

• Support MariaDB 11.4
• Support MySQL 8.4 (LTS)
• Support Oracle 23c (LTR)
• Support PostgreSQL 17
• Make sure Quarkus and RHBQ supports the database versions - see https://access.redhat.com/articles/4966181
• Update Supported databases in documentation
• Any issues identified as part of testing should be created as issues attached to this issue, and assigned appropriately to different teams

Non-Goals

• Support newer versions in RHBK 26.0.x or any older releases
