For advanced use cases, such as those involving Protocol Buffer (Protobuf) generated classes, the protobuf-javadependency is essential. We believe the existing Protobuf Kamelets (specifically the deserialize and serialize actions) could be significantly enhanced by including the camel-protobuf dependency. This addition would broaden their applicability and support a wider range of scenarios.

Consequently, camel-protobuf should be considered for productization.
