A customer has requested that monitoring and alerting for the status of storage (whether storage is online or not as well as if any individual paths have gone down) be added to OpenShift. This would benefit all OpenShift cluster administrators using external storage on their clusters, as they would be notified when connectivity to storage failed and/or any single path to the storage failed, potentially saving a large amount of time troubleshooting when an outage occurs.
