- Proposed title of this feature request
- Per-VM networking bandwidth consumption limits
- What is the nature and description of the request?
- A given VM can be assigned a bandwidth limit independent of other VMs and their assigned behaviors.
- Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
- A customer wants to implement a private cloud environment where they define a set of VM "families" much like one sees in the hyper scalers. Today they can assign vCPUs and memory a given family, and they would like to be able to offer families that have bandwidth maximums.
- List any affected packages or components.
- OpenShift Virtualization
The existing RFE-7066 defines this for a group of VMs per NetworkAttachmentDefinition. However, the customer would like to do this with VMs in a CUDN which requires a single NAD per CUDN.
